Are We Having Fund Yet? Tech Bootcamp Scholarships

We created this sweet and pretty infograhic a while ago to let you know which bootcamps offer scholarships. Funding your education can be stressful and difficult (to put it lightly) and we want to help you make the most of it.

Here are a few other scholarships that came to the table for a drink and a slice of scholarship pie this week:

Google for Entrepreneurs + Galvanize //

These people want to see more of the people who are under-represented in tech. Google for Entrepreneurs will provide scholarships of up to $25,000 to women, minorities, and people from the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community who enter the first cohort of the data science master’s program from the startup Galvanize.

And the people behind Galvanize say that’s a noble cause.

“I believe super strongly that if you have ambition and aptitude, you should have the opportunity, and unfortunately, for many people, that just isn’t the case,” Jim Deters, Galvanize’s chief executive, told VentureBeat in an interview. “Our systems aren’t set up for doing that, and we’re trying to build onramps for people and working with our partners to come up with scholarships.”

Coding Dojo //

Do you like options? Of course you do, options give you freedom!

Coding Dojo is just kind and forward-thinking enough to offer three kinds of scholarships:

1. Career Reinvention ($1,000)

Created for individuals who have hit a wall with their career, and struggle to afford the professional assistance required to refine their skill sets.

2. Career Starter ($1,5000)

Designed to help current college students or recent graduates pursue career goals that are not available through their formal education.

3. Women's Opportunity ($2,000)

Offered in support of women developers, who as a demographic, are highly underrepresented within the tech industry.
