We had a super-fantastic day at the Techmanity tech conference yesterday, and we’re excited to do it all again today! Here’s a photo diary of what went down yesterday.
The Techmanitarian Awards honor those who exemplify the Techmanitarian ethic of applying technology to benefit humankind. This year’s honorees include Participant Media, Nicholas Negroponte and (posthumously) Aaron Swartz. Plus, Emmet from Twilight aka Kellan Lutz was one of the presenters.
Our beautiful booth before we destroyed it with all the fliers/business cards/water bottles/Captain America coffee thermoses/iPads we put on it.
Venture capitalists have a reputation for risk-taking, but they should also be known for changing the world, too. We had the pleasure to see a talk from Silicon Valley’s “Riskmaster,” Tim Draper, Founding Partner of Draper Fisher Jurvetson, for a conversation around breaking the molds of the business status-quo.
And here’s our Co-Founder and CMO Steve meeting Mr. Draper after the talk. NBD.
We got to see Oscar winner and entrepreneur Jared Leto talk about the power of technology in entertainment, engaging and building an audience that matters, and why every entrepreneur should champion a cause.

Baklava, chocolate hazelnut spread, coconut cream puffs, and delicious coffee after a long day. Like we needed more sugar and caffeine.
A tired selfie after a long day of standing and talking to strangers.
